A Bit About Myself
After completing my undergrad in the arts I worked for three years at an interior design company where I would meet with clients one-on-one to bring their vision for their home to life. We specialized in storage design and inspired people to de-clutter and create order in their space.
During my time with the company, I was also going through some personal family challenges. My brother was battling a serious mental illness. I tried to support myself in this hard time through daily yoga and meditation practice. Yoga has always been a part of my life, but I relied on it during this time as a way to cope with my day to day experiences with my brother and family.
Through this difficult time, I realized my passion for yoga and meditation and witnessed first hand through the support he got at CAMH how there is also an opportunity for this type of support in people’s lives who are struggling.
It was then that I made a decision to leave my job as a designer and focus on this path of yoga and mindfulness. I went to Costa Rica for four weeks to complete my 200-hour teacher training in Vinyasa yoga and have since also been certified in Yin yoga.
I now work as a yoga practitioner and my mission is to help people with physical and emotional challenges to find balance in their bodies and minds through movement, mindfulness, and meditation.
